The river offers beautiful scenery, Class I-II rapids and
an incredible paddle trip free of commercial development
The Upper Guadalupe River is lined with high limestone
cliffs and giant Bald Cypress trees that are just amazing.
Paddlers' can also expect to see an abundance of wildlife.
The river is easy to navigate at low water levels, yet
challenging at medium to high flows. Actual trip times
vary depending on the flow rate, wind, and physical abilities
of the paddlers, Half-day trips typically take 3-4 hours.
Full-day Trips typically take 6-8 hours.
